Three weeks in the house

New Cumberland, PA - Well, today is my third week anniversary of being Harriet Homeowner. However, I should now call myself the Queen of Chaos! Boxes are everywhere!! I'm now advocating the "three-box-a-day" rule, although, my friend, Dorry Gray, said that she suspected that I would choose three easy boxes rather than three complicated boxes . . . and . . . she is RIGHT!!!

The women who were the previous owners, Liz and Iris, have been wonderful about introducing me to the area. They had a party for me the beginning of July to introduce me to the neighbors (and, I still went to settlement!), and, we have been getting together every week either at my house, their new house, or out to dinner. This week we are going to the Boiling Springs Tavern with Gary and Greg, two more new friends.

My next door neighbors, Phyllis and David, invited me to their Fourth of July party where I saw the neighbors again and met their son, Mike, and his wife, Kay. Mike does BEAUTIFUL, intricate cross-stitch. Phyllis is a gardener and has given me several new houseplants from her stash. She, David, and I went antiquing last weekend and I purchased a new chair for my bedroom - just what I need!

Now if I could just find that magic fairy who opens all the boxes, organizes the house, and cleans, I'd have more time to play, play, play. Kissy Kiss
