Whew! Beau and I have had an interesting week. We left the Notchland Inn on Friday, April 13, and traveled 426 miles to Clinton, NJ. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Select which had a special package for Beau - a nice container which had portable litter box, a bed, water/food bowl, toys, brush, and treats!
We then traveled to Frederick, MD, where we stayed for four days and visited with Kim, Gene, Amber, Natalie, and Anthony. Lots and lots of fun . . . and, I became a redhead!!! Well, more strawberry blonde with golden streaks.
Then, off to Ocean City, MD for three days - a room with a view of the ocean and LOTS of seafood to eat (my favorite!). Most of the town is closed until mid-May when the whole area becomes alive.
Saturday morning, we took the car ferry from Lewes, DE, to Cape May, NJ. We are staying in a cute cape with a large yard, lots of flowers, and we are about 300 yards from the beach.
I have begun to seriously look for a house. On our trip down, I really enjoyed my tour of Carlisle, PA - a nice college town with a law school that is about 12-15 miles from Harrisburg. The downtown area is primarily historic buildings with interesting shops and restaurants. And, it is geographically desirable - halfway between Jeff and Kim!!!
Off to explore!! kissy kissy

Whoohoo... you go girl! Thanks for the update, can't wait to see a pic of the new strawberry blonde.
300 yards from the beach! Are you sure you want to move? Sounds like heaven.
The new adventures of not so old Lea have begun in ernest! Sounds wonderful, and I look forward to reading more. I love adventures.

Carlisle sounds great! Good name for a town. I envision ivy growing over solid stately brick college buildings and little pocket gardens just around the next corner. Outdoor cafes. People riding bikes. Would you please provide links and maps to verify my fantasy?
Well hello there,
It's Monday and we are off to Glen Ledge Road to celebrate a belated 5th of may. Glade to hear your trip was exciting and that the house hunt is going well. It's finally warming up here in the White Mountains which as you know only means three things...ticks, black flies and yard work ... YUCK ... nothing that a g&t can't take care of. WHAHOO!!! talk to you soon
